Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nurse-Midwifery (MSN) from an accredited program.
• Certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) by AMCC.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery within a hospital setting.
• Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and intervention; excellent communication and collaboration.
• Commitment to patient-centered care with respect for women's choices and autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Labor & Delivery: monitor fetal heart rate, labor progress, and pain management.
• Vaginal Deliveries: safely deliver newborns following established protocols.
• Cesarean Sections: act as first assist during cesarean sections.
• Telephone Triage: provide telephonic triage for obstetric and gynecologic patients.
• Patient Education: educate mothers on breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum recovery.
• Complication Management: identify and manage potential complications with physicians as necessary.
• Documentation: maintain accurate medical records in the EPIC system.
• Education & Training: participate in the education of students and residents.
• Professional Development: engage in ongoing education to stay current with advancements in midwifery practice.

Job Summary

As a Certified Nurse Midwife at Foundation Medical Partners / Southern NH Health, you will provide compassionate, patient-centered care to women in labor and during their prenatal and postpartum care. You will collaborate with a team of professionals to deliver a safe and nurturing experience for both mother and child. You will also play an important role in educating and empowering patients, assisting in education for students and residents, and maintaining high standards in medical documentation and continuing education.

Key Responsibilities

• Labor & Delivery: Provide care to women in labor, including fetal heart rate monitoring, labor progress assessments, and pain management techniques.
