Job summary

Millie, based in Berkeley, CA, is seeking a 0.8-0.9 FTE Certified Nurse-Midwife to deliver full-scope obstetrics and gynecology care at the clinic, hospital partner, and virtually. A Millie Guide supports perinatal patients through childbirth, postpartum, and newborn care, with access to an app and AI tools for education.

You will collaborate with OBs, nurses, doulas, nutritionists, and therapists, while leveraging technology to answer patient questions and ensure access to trusted support.

Qualifications

• Active CNM license in CA and AMCB certification.
• NRP and BLS certification up to date.
• Bilingual, motivational interviewing, early pregnancy confirmation and dating ultrasound, lactation certifications, nutrition/diabetes training, cesarean first assist, and/or teaching movement or meditation practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope midwifery care during antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum at our clinic, hospital partner, and virtually.
• Provide basic gynecology services such as contraception, STIs, vaginitis, and annual preventative care exams.
• Provide medication abortion services.
• Collaborate with other team members (e.g., obstetricians, nurses, doulas, nutritionists, therapists, etc.).
• Communicate effectively with patients during and between appointments to ensure questions are answered and concerns are addressed by leveraging Millie’s app and technology.
• Example 0.8 FTE part-time schedule: approximately two 12hr L&D calls from home and one 8hr clinic day/week.

About the role

We’re looking for a 0.8-0.9 FTE (32-36hr/wk) Certified Nurse-Midwife to deliver full-scope obstetrics and gynecology care. Our perinatal patients are emotionally and educationally supported as they are paired with a Millie Guide (practicing doula) who prepares them for childbirth, postpartum, chest/breastfeeding and newborn care. Our patients also have access to the Millie app, which includes an AI messaging tool and a robust perinatal curriculum to accompany your clinical care. About you

We are looking for a compassionate and driven midwife who has:

• 1+ years of experience working as a midwife, preferably in a full-scope setting.

Qualifications

• An active Certified Nurse-Midwife license in the state of CA and certification by the AMCB. LMs/CPMs are encouraged to contact us if interested in working with Millie as we will have future opportunities.
• NRP and BLS certification up to date.
• Skills/training in the following areas are a plus: bilingual, motivational interviewing, early pregnancy confirmation and dating ultrasound, lactation certifications, nutrition/diabetes training, cesarean first assist, and/or teaching movement or meditation practices.
