Certified Nurse Midwife Needed in Dallas, Texas

Methodist Medical Group is seeking a full-time Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our OBGYN clinic in southern sector of Dallas, where we are dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to women and families throughout their reproductive journey. We are a busy, community-focused clinic committed to empowering individuals through education and personalized support.

The ideal CNM candidate will be a highly skilled and compassionate professional committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to women from adolescence through menopause, with a strong focus on pregnancy, birth, and postpartum support. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment dedicated to positive birth outcomes and women's health advocacy.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to women, including physical examinations, diagnostic tests, and individualized care plans.
  • Conduct well-woman exams, family planning counseling, and gynecological care.
  • Must be able to monitor labor and deliver low risk pregnancies in our Level III Maternity Center, providing support, guidance, and interventions as needed in accordance with scope of practice and established protocols.
  • Educate patients and their families on various health topics, including pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, newborn care, and women's health.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, lactation consultants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Respond to emergent situations calmly and effectively, initiating appropriate interventions and seeking consultation when necessary.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain licensure and enhance clinical skills.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited CNM program
  • Current, unencumbered licensure as a APRN - CNM in the State of Texas or eligibility for licensure
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • 2 years of recent, relevant experience as a practicing CMN in a hospital setting
  • Must be able to demonstrate current competence and evidence of the performance of at least 20 deliveries, reflective of the scope of privileges requested, in the past 12 months
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing low-risk pregnancies and deliveries
  • Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and patient education abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-centered approach to care
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

  • Experience with Epic, preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred
