Job Opportunity: Patient Care Support

Your next opportunity awaits you! 4 West is a 30-bed all telemetry unit dedicated to post-operative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients. The unit features 18 acute care beds and 12 intermediate care beds (IMU) for patients requiring a higher level of care between ICU and acute care. Apply today!

Job Description:

Performs a variety of patient care and administrative support functions under the supervision of Medical Center professionals in inpatient, outpatient, or home settings.

• Assists patients with personal care as needed to promote optimal recovery during hospitalization.
• Performs basic nursing skills as delegated by an RN, in accordance with policies and procedures, to promote patient health and wellness.
• Ensures a safe environment and safe delivery of care.
• Performs administrative support functions.
• Maintains necessary skills and competencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Compensation Range: $15.37 - $23.82 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Experience: No experience required; relevant experience preferred.
• Licensure: Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) certification through the Virginia Board of Nursing. American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS certification is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires frequent bending/stooping and driving (Home Health Aide only). Proficient in communication, auditory, and visual skills; attention to detail; ability to write legibly; ability to lift/push/pull 20-50 lbs and >100 lbs (Home Health Aide only). May be exposed to chemicals, blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases.
