Unit Description: 6North is a 12-bed unit utilizing critical care and neuroscience principles at the Intermediate level. The unit cares for patients with neuro trauma, hemorrhages, post-operative spine patients, and neurological issues, receiving direct admissions and transfers for closer monitoring. The NIMU nurse monitors ICPs, manages B/P with IV medications, and supports patients requiring mechanical ventilation or pressors, with backing from a MET team, BERT, nurse practitioners, and house staff.
Position Details: Full-time, rotating shifts. Performs patient care and administrative functions under supervision, assisting with personal care, basic nursing skills, maintaining a safe environment, and other duties as assigned. Apply today!
Compensation Range: $15.37 - $23.82 hourly
Frequent bending/stooping, driving (Home Health Aide only), lifting/pushing/pulling 20-50 lbs, and over 100 lbs (Home Health Aide only). Must have proficient communication, auditory, and visual skills, attention to detail, and the ability to write legibly. May be exposed to chemicals, blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases.
