Neuro ICU Position

The Neuro ICU is a 12-bed critical care unit providing intensive management for patients with life-threatening neurological and neurosurgical conditions. Typical cases include central nervous system tumors, complex spine surgery, stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, neuromuscular diseases, status epilepticus, and infections. Time Type: Full Time

The role involves performing patient care and administrative support functions under supervision in inpatient, outpatient, or home settings.

  • Assist patients with personal care to support recovery.
  • Perform basic nursing skills delegated by an RN, following policies and procedures.
  • Ensure a safe environment and safe care delivery.
  • Perform administrative support functions.
  • Maintain necessary skills and competencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Compensation Range

$15.37 - $23.82 per hour

Minimum Requirements
  • Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • Experience: No experience required; relevant experience preferred
  • Licensure: Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) certification through the Virginia Board of Nursing and American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
Physical Demands

Frequent bending/stooping and driving (Home Health Aide only). Proficient communication, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and legible writing. Ability to lift/push/pull 20-50 lbs and over 100 lbs (Home Health Aide only). Exposure to chemicals, blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases is possible.
