Job summary

West River Health Services is a mission-driven Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Clinic serving the residents of southwestern North Dakota. Provides essential bedside care on our Med Surg unit in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

The CNA role includes vital signs, patient assistance, and collaboration with physicians during routine exams. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and ND CNA certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ND CNA certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Willing to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities, mobility, and personal care.
• Take vital signs, collect specimens, and document patient information accurately.
• Assist physicians and providers with routine exams and procedures.
• Transport patients and specimens throughout the hospital.
• Cross-train across departments as needed (acute, swing bed, emergency department).
