Job summary

NTSOC, based in Colorado Springs, is looking for a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide quality care for clients in their home environment. The position may start as part-time with hourly compensation of $18 - $22, depending on experience. The ideal candidate should have a state-accredited CNA certificate and possess strong communication skills.

Job Details

Job Type: Part Time and Hourly, with possibility for Full Time.
Job Location: Client located in Sanford, Colorado.
Compensation: $18 - $22 hourly, dependent upon experience.

Essential Functions

• Provides direct care to selected clients as assigned by nursing leadership.
• Provides skilled assistance with activities of daily living, i.e., bathing, combing hair, oral hygiene, dressing, etc.
• Provides care in accordance with the client’s plan of care and tasks assigned by RN.
• Implements the client's plan of care in compliance with agency and governmental regulations.
• Provides simple exercises, transfers, and assists with therapy programs when instructed.
• Responsible for documentation of all care provided within 24 hours of the visit utilizing electronic health record software.
• Reports immediately to supervisor or professional staff any changes in the client's condition or any problems in assigned tasks.
• Provides emotional support to clients and families.

Minimum Education

Must have completed a state accredited CNA Program.

Minimum Experience

1‑year experience working as a CNA preferred. Home care experience preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

Must have a Colorado CNA certificate in good standing (DORA). Current BLS/CPR required.

Physical/Mental Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls and communicate effectively with other people. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to drive to client homes.

Working Conditions

Home environment. May be exposed to occupational hazards such as communicable diseases, harmful chemicals, and/or disoriented or combative patients. Must be able to work under stress and be emotionally capable of coping with changes in activity.
