What you will do in this role:

• Perform patient care responsibilities considering the needs specific to the patient's age
• Provide morning care including bed bath, shower or whirlpool, oral hygiene, hair care, back care, changing bed linens, cleaning over bed table and bedside stand, and other general care as necessary
• Provide evening care such as face and hand washing, oral hygiene, back rubs, peri-care, linen changes, and room cleaning as needed
• Prepare patients for meals; serve and remove food trays; assist with feeding if necessary
• Answer patient call lights, anticipate needs, and make rounds to assigned patients
• Assist patients with handling personal property: dentures, glasses, contact lenses, hearing aids, prosthetic devices, etc.
• Report and record any changes in patient condition or behavior and unusual incidents
• Assist licensed nursing staff with treatment procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum requirements:

• Completion of course for nursing assistants
• Current state certification as a Nursing Assistant
• CPR/BCLS Certification
• Minimum six months experience in an acute or long-term care facility preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
