Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant Clerical Assistant (CNA/CA) for our 4NW TCU Cardiac/Telemetry unit located at the Florence Hospital.

Position is part-time, 24 hours per week, 7A–7P. Responsibilities include coordinating clerical tasks on the unit and delivering direct and indirect patient care under RN/LPN supervision. CNA certification, CPR, and state coursework completion are required.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Assistant credentialing required.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Completion of applicable state CNA courses.
• Successful completion of CNA exam required for certification.
• Must not be listed on State Abuse Registry.
• CPR certification for professional rescuer.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for assigned patients.
• Coordinate and maintain unit clerical functions under RN/LPN supervision.

Job Description

The Certified Nursing Assistant/Clerical Assistant is responsible for coordinating and maintaining the clerical functions of the unit and provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of an RN or LPN:

• Assists patients with activities of daily living
• Provides patients personal care and comfort
• Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of patients.

Education, Credentials, Licenses

• Certified in the state where work is being performed as Certified Nurse Assistant
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Completion of applicable state courses.
• Successful completion of Certified Nurse Assistant exam required for certification.
• Not listed on the applicable State Abuse Registry
• Must have CPR for the professional rescuer.

Specialized Knowledge

• Demonstrates basic mathematical skills.
