Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our patient care team. The CNA works under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and performs multi-skilled duties to support patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include helping patients with personal hygiene, dressing, walking, bed linen changes, and transporting patients to tests and procedures. You may record vital signs under supervision and assist with meals.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of patient care experience in a health care facility or as CNA preferred.

Job Description

Hours/Shifts: 36 hours per week - 3/12 hours shifts per week

The Certified Nursing Assistant works under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The CNA performs multi-skilled duties within the limits of training and certification in caring for the patient.

Minimum Education

A high school diploma or GED required. At least one year of patient care experience in a health care facility or as CNA is preferred.

Required Licensure, Certifications, and Registrations

Currently registered as a Certified Nurse Assistant in South Carolina; must be current in the Nurse Aide Registry. Will be required to maintain American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS). Crisis prevention training may be required based on department requirements.
