Job Summary

Greet patients in the infusion center and obtain medications from pharmacy. Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff. Perform duties such as taking vitals, obtaining patient information, removing IVs, and other duties as assigned. Obtain information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff, and report any changes in patient condition. Assist with directing incoming calls into the department and provider communications. Manage some patient appointment scheduling, maintain medical records, and other clerical duties as assigned. Understand the function of supporting disciplines and departments utilized by AIS.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Experience: No prior experience required; Computer Experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Exhibits valuable time management skills; Strong analytical/problem solving skills; Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Required: MO CNA License OR must have MO CNA Appendix AND MO CNA license must be obtained within 120 days of hire AND BLS must be obtained within 90 days; Required: Application submitted with the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician upon hire.
