Job summary

Salina Regional Health Center, Inc. is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide quality patient care in the clinic setting under the supervision of licensed staff.

Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, taking vital signs, transporting patients, clerical support, and assisting nurses with interventions. Interaction with other departments for cleaning and restocking supplies is also required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED preferred.
• Completion of a certified nursing assistant training course.
• 1-2 years nurse assistant experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification to be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.

Job description

A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing quality patient care as assigned by team lead, professional nursing staff or physicians in the clinic setting. This includes scheduling patient appointments, taking vital signs, transporting patients, clerical support, and helping the professional nurse with interventions. The CNA also interacts with other departments as needed to perform cleaning, restock supplies, all under the direction of their appropriate supervisor.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

High School graduate or GED preferred

Completion of a certified nursing assistant training course

1-2 years nurse assistant experience preferred

Required Registration/License/Certification

Basic Life Support certification from either American Red Cross/AED for the Health Care Provider, or Basic Life Support (American Heart Association- Health Care Provider) successfully completed within the first 90 days of employment.
