Job summary

Bristol Hospice is seeking an experienced Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to join our patient-centered Interdisciplinary Group Team. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate personal care in patients' homes and promote comfort for families.

The ideal candidate is a licensed CNA in good standing with California HHA certification, CPR, reliable transportation, and the ability to work autonomously while following plan of care and maintaining

Qualifications

  • Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with state CNA board.
  • CA residents must hold a current Home Health Aide certification.
  • Preferred 1 year experience in community health or hospice.
  • Driver's license with insured vehicle in good working order.
  • Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care including baths, grooming, hygiene, and routine tasks.
  • Assist with dressing, meals, and incontinence care.
  • Support patient mobility and safe transfers with proper technique.
  • Remind or administer medications as allowed by state regulations.
  • Record vital signs and observations; report changes to the Case Manager.
  • Provide compassionate communication with patients and families and maintain confidentiality.
