Job Description

Assist patients with activities of daily living, provide basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients, and assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Required Skills:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Medical Assistant or clinical training preferred
• Minimum 1-3 years of previous experience required
• Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories
• Patient interviewing skills
• Ability to perform standard clinical procedures according to established protocols
• Knowledge of patient evaluation procedures
• Ability to perform routine invasive procedures, such as venipuncture and EKG
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards
• Ability to adapt to change quickly, with a strong knowledge base related to surgical procedures and management of surgical patients
• Understanding of principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
