Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program and anesthesia school by hire.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• RN license (CA) required at hire.
• CRNA (CA) required at hire.
• NPI required at hire.
• ACLS required at hire.
• BLS required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Selects and administers intravenous, spinal and other anesthetics prior to and during procedures; monitors patient reactions and vital signs.
• Submits postoperative report on patient condition and maintains records of anesthetics administered.
• Performs procedures outside the OR in accordance with KP policies, competency and MD order.
• Develops and implements anesthesia plan; communicates with supervising physician and gains concurrence.
• Participates with PACU in patient safety interface during transfers from the surgery suite.
