The Nurse Aide Training Program (CNA Training Track) provides insight into the direct care role by training alongside our clinicians, completing tasks for our resident population. Apply as a Nurse Aide Trainee and be scheduled into the next available Nurse Aide Training Program to become a CNA. Training takes place on-site at Elderwood at Hamburg.

Nurse Aide Training Program (CNA Training Track) Overview:

• Elderwood's CNA Training course lasts three weeks, Monday to Friday, with various shifts available. Until scheduled for training, you will be designated on a specific shift as a Nurse Aide Trainee.
• The first two weeks are classroom training; the third week is clinical.
• Upon passing, your status (and pay) will be updated from Nurse Aide Trainee to CNA.
• Elderwood will cover the cost of the CNA certification test and any necessary onboarding requirements, including but not limited to PPD and Physical exams for eligible candidates.
• Training is PAID — you will be clocked in as a Nurse Aide Trainee during training hours and receive pay while training.

Responsibilities

Position Overview:

• Nursing Assistant Trainee team members assist with ensuring the health and well-being of residents by participating in a 100-hour Nursing Assistant Training Program and obtaining certification within 120 hours of the training start date.

Qualifications

CNA Training Qualifications:

• Must be at least 16 years old. Successful completion of the program's entrance testing and application process is required.
• No findings or convictions of resident abuse, mistreatment, or misappropriation of property through any current or previous licensing agency.
• All current and new employees are expected to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination is required upon hiring, but vaccination can be declined.
