Job summary

Buckner Retirement Services Community: The Stayton at Museum Way, Fort Worth, TX invites a Certified Nurse Aide to join our onsite team. In this role you will help residents with daily living activities, mobility, bathing, feeding and comfort, while upholding Buckner standards of care and hospitality.

You must have a high school diploma or GED, a nursing aide certificate (or CPR) and the physical ability to assist residents.

Qualifications

• Must have completed required training and certification for Buckner and governing authorities (e.g., nursing aide certificate, CPR).
• Ability to assist residents with ADLs and physical tasks within safety guidelines.
• Demonstrates reliability, compassion, and commitment to resident well-being.

Responsibilities

• Make frequent resident rounds to check comfort, safety, and cleanliness.
• Maintain compliance with Buckner policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with the prescribed health care plan and provide bathing, feeding, oral care, dressing, and mobility support.
• Document ADLs, intakes/outputs, and other charts accurately and timely.
• Assist with morning grooming and transport residents to dining areas.
• Prepare and change linens; manage cleaning and sanitary tasks.

We are seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to join our community committed to delivering outstanding service to our residents. As a Certified Nurse Aide, you will play an important role in all phases of physical and emotional support that meets or exceeds Buckner quality, service, and hospitality standards. What you'll do:

• Make frequent resident rounds on a regular basis to check the physical comfort, safety, and cleanliness of residents.
• Maintain compliance with Buckner policies and procedures. Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, state and federal laws.
• Assist with the appropriate implementation of the prescribed health care plan.
• Provide excellent, safe services in care and treatment including: bathing; feeding; oral care; intake of food; dressing; care of hair, nails; moving residents from area to area; responding to calls, etc.
• Provide broad range of cleaning/sanitary services, including: emptying and/or cleaning of urinals, commodes, bedpans; showers, wheelchairs and other equipment, timely and proficiently.
• Accurately and timely document Activities for Daily Living (ADL’s), intakes and outputs and other appropriate information on charts.
• Wake up residents, assist with morning grooming and move resident to dining room as needed.
• Change soiled and unsoiled linen; distribute clean towels frequently throughout shift.

What you'll bring:

• High School diploma or GED
• Completes and meets required training and certification requirements of Buckner and governing authorities; e.g. nursing aid certificate, CPR.
• Requires ability to use up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 20 pounds of force continuously to move objects and/or people.
• Requires bending, stooping, twisting, turning, reaching, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, climbing, kneeling, walking, and standing over 75% of shift.
