Care Initiatives in Chariton, IA is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to join our compassionate care team at Chariton Specialty Care. This full-time weekend package offers 6p-6a shifts and a competitive hourly wage with shift differential.

You will support daily living activities, monitor residents’ health, provide companionship, and collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain a safe, respectful environment across our facility network in Iowa.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in IA, or ability to activate certification.
• Ability to provide daily living assistance with empathy.
• Strong teamwork and communication with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating).
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Interacts with residents, families, and healthcare team.
• Provide health monitoring including routine vital checks.
• Encourage recreational and therapeutic activities to promote health.
• Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment.

What You’ll Do & Key Responsibilities

• Support daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Deliver emotional support and provide companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
• Interact and communicate with residents, families, as well as the healthcare team.
• Provide health monitoring including conducting routine vital checks.
• Encourage and facilitate resident recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance health and daily routines.
• Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a clean and safe environment for safety.

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in the state of Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
