Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join the team on a PRN schedule. You will assist with basic patient care under RN guidance, monitor vital signs, and help with daily living activities to support compassionate patient care.

Qualified candidates hold a Kentucky CNA certification with an active registry listing and a current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. High school diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• Must hold Kentucky CNA certification.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certificate or obtained within 90 days after hire date.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care activities under RN supervision, including monitoring vital signs and recording intake/output.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, eating and ambulation.
• Reports abnormal findings or changes in condition to nursing staff.
• Keeps patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.

How You'll Contribute

A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who excels in this role:

• Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possibly taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
• Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
• Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current Kentucky CNA certification with current listing on the Kentucky Board of Nursing Nurse Aide Registry.

• High School Diploma/ GED
• Current American Heart Association BLS certificate or obtained within 90 days after hire date.
