Job summary

Ottumwa Regional Health Center is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide for full-time night shifts in the Med/Surg unit. Schedule is 36 hours/week with every other weekend. The role emphasizes patient care, adherence to policies, and teamwork within a mission-driven healthcare setting.

Qualifications

  • CNA Certification required/active. BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate support and adherence to the ORHC Mission and Core Values.
  • Be knowledgeable and compliant with hospital policies, including Employee Handbook and Policy Stat.
  • Use your chain of command to raise concerns and suggestions.
  • Demonstrate integrity and comply with the company compliance program, reporting questionable practices through the ethics/compliance channels.
  • Treat others with respect and maintain professional behavior.
  • Give a positive first impression through welcoming interactions, proper dress, and organized work areas.
  • Be a team player, recognize colleagues, and support others.
  • Promote the health center and act as an ambassador for ORHC.
  • Handle equipment and supplies with care and use resources efficiently.

  • Demonstrate support and adherence to the ORHC Mission and Core Values.
  • Be knowledgeable and compliant with hospital policies to include but not limited to the Employee Handbook and policies in Policy Stat.

What we're looking for

Applicants are required to hold a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) Certification. Additional requirements include:

  • Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire. 75+ Hour CNA Certification (must show proof of cert upon hire) required
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required
