Cherokee Specialty Care in Cherokee, IA, a 62-bed long-term care skilled nursing community, is now hiring a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for Full-Time Days. Join our compassionate care team across more than 40 skilled nursing communities throughout Iowa to make a meaningful difference in residents' lives.

You will assist with daily living activities, provide companionship, monitor health, and work with families and the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in Iowa or ability to activate certification.
• Commitment to resident care and teamwork.
• Compassionate, patient and respectful demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating).
• Delivers emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive environment.
• Interacts with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
• Provides health monitoring including routine vital checks.
• Encourages and facilitates resident recreational and therapeutic activities.
• Adheres to infection control protocols for safety.

What You’ll Do & Key Responsibilities

• Support daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Deliver emotional support and provide companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
• Interact and communicate with residents, families, as well as the healthcare team.
• Provide health monitoring including conducting routine vital checks.
• Encourage and facilitate resident recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance health and daily routines.
