Job summary

Seashore-Gardens in New Jersey seeks reliable CNAs to join a rotating shift schedule (7 AM–3 PM & 3 PM–11 PM). An active NJ Certified Nurse Aide certification and CPR/BLS are required. Sign-on bonus for full-time roles and daily pay are available.

Responsibilities include assisting residents with daily living, dining coordination, accurate documentation, weight and skin monitoring, and reporting changes to nursing staff. HS diploma required; 1 year LTC/sub-acute experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active NJ CNA certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• No disciplinary action in effect against certification
• At least one year of experience in sub-acute and/or long-term care preferred

• Provides supportive services to nurse(s) and other staff as needed and performs duties as assigned.
• Assists resident with activities of daily living in accordance with care plans and policies.
• Assists with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting.
• Coordinates dining room services at meals, including setup, delivery, feeding, and documentation.
• Delivers nutritional supplements and records intake.
• Tracks resident weights and notes changes to nurse/supervisor.
• Monitors skin condition and reports issues to nurse/supervisor.
• Assists with toileting program activities and documents progress.

You will have a set rotating schedule with every other weekend commitment (Saturday and Sunday) Please note: We are not looking for double shifts as part of a SET schedule. However, there may be extra shifts available at times.

We need dedicated caregivers with a valid CNA certification in NJ. ***YOU MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE NJ CERTIFIED NURSE AIDE CERTIFICATION OR RECIPROCITY COMPLETED***

Minimum requirements include the following:

• Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the state.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides supportive services to nurse(s) and other staff as needed and performs duties as assigned.
• Assists resident with or performs activities of daily living for resident in accordance with care plans and established policies and procedures.
• Assists resident with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
• Coordinates dining room services at assigned mealtimes, including set-up and clean-up, meal tray delivery, feeding assistance, and documentation of meal intake.
• Delivers nutritional supplements to residents at assigned times and assists as necessary to ensure intake. Documents intake accordingly.
• Assists with weighing residents according to facility policy, and records weight in designated locations. Reports weight changes to nurse and supervisor.
• Assists with tracking the condition of the resident’s skin. Reports any presence of pressure areas, skin breakdown or skin tears to nurse and supervisor.
• Assists nursing staff in carrying out toileting program activities.
• Completes flow sheets daily to indicate that the specified task was done. Documents the progress of each resident as directed by supervisor.
• Keeps nurse and supervisor informed of factors that interfere with being able to perform the work as assigned (i.e. resident refusal, reassigned to nursing unit).
• Reports changes in a resident’s condition to the resident’s nurse and supervisor.
