Job summary

Slaton Care Center in Slaton, TX is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our care team. You will provide direct resident care, assist with daily living activities, and support the health and comfort of residents.

The role requires a current Texas CNA certification, good communication, and a compassionate, reliable, and patient demeanor. You will work closely with nurses and aides to maintain a safe, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Texas CNA certification.
• Ability to accurately record vitals and care notes.
• Strong communication and compassionate patient care.
• Attention to safety policies and patient rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide Personal Care: Assist with grooming, bathing, catheter care, pericare, and dressing, following care policy guidelines.
• Maintain Resident Environment: Change linens and ensure grooming supplies are stocked.
• Support Mobility: Safely ambulate and transfer residents using assistive devices and proper body mechanics.
• Record Vital Information: Accurately document vitals, weights, intake/output, and meal consumption.
• Assist with Positioning: Turn and reposition residents routinely for comfort and safety.
• Encourage Engagement: Lead range of motion exercises and provide reality orientation as directed.
