Job summary

Liberty Rehabilitation Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our night shift on a state‑of‑the‑art inpatient rehab unit. You will support nursing staff with compassionate, patient‑centered care.

Responsibilities include bathing, grooming, mobility assistance, vital signs, room prep, and safe environment maintenance. Requirements: CNA training, current state certification, CPR/BCLS, and six months' experience in acute or long‑term care.

Qualifications

• Completion of a nursing assistant training course.
• Minimum six months of experience in an acute care or long-term care setting.
• Current state Nursing Assistant certification.
• CPR/BCLS certification required.

• Perform basic patient care tasks including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
• Provide nursing support such as positioning, lifting, turning, and equipment use.
• Assist with toileting needs using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation.
• Take and record vital signs and document findings promptly.
• Prepare patient rooms for admission and transfer, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment with attention to ventilation and lighting.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge procedures, including patient belongings.
• Answer call lights, phones, and pages promptly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

How You’ll Contribute

• Perform basic patient care tasks including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
• Provide general nursing support such as positioning, lifting, turning, and using special equipment.
• Assist with toileting needs using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation to the bathroom.
• Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, blood pressure, and intake/output measurements accurately and document in a timely manner.
• Prepare patient rooms for admission and transfer, ensuring cleanliness and equipment readiness.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment with attention to ventilation and lighting.
• Support patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures, including handling of patient belongings.
• Answer patient call lights, phones, and pages, responding promptly and appropriately.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

Applicants should demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask in a healthcare environment. Additional requirements include:

• Completion of a nursing assistant training course.
• Minimum six months of experience in an acute care or long-term care setting preferred.
• Current state certification as a Nursing Assistant.
• CPR/BCLS certification required.

Schedule: Full-time Night Shift.
