HENDRICK MEDICAL CENTER in Abilene, TX seeks a Certified Nurse Aide for the North unit on the full-time night shift. CNAs provide personal care, monitor patients, and assist with daily living activities under nursing supervision.

Required: High school or equivalent, valid CNA credential and BLS. Strong communication, HIPAA compliance, and teamwork are essential; duties include data entry, patient monitoring, and collaboration with nurses. Flexibility to float to PCU/IMCU/CCU as needed.

JOB SUMMARY

• Certified Nurse Aides (CNA’s) provide personal care, health-related services, and assist with activities of daily living. CNA’s function under the direction, instruction and supervision of nursing staff. They attend to those who are being treated to manage illness and/or recovering from a procedure or surgical intervention. CNAs working/floating to PCU, IMCU or CCU units provide care for primarily adult patients who require cardiac monitoring. CNA’s have a professional obligation to participate in committee activities, surveys, improvement initiatives and continuing education.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Input data into computer programs.
