Job summary

Tennessee Quality Care seeks a compassionate Nurse Aide to provide hands-on personal care and ad hoc nursing support to patients at home or in care settings. You will assist with baths, hygiene, dressing, and daily living activities while maintaining a safe, comfortable environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring vitals, assisting with simple procedures, and supporting patients with medications under supervision. A current CNA state certification and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Certified by the state as a nurse aide.
• Meets the training requirements and completes them.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Must hold CPR certification per regulations.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Providing hands-on personal care including baths, oral hygiene, toileting, and dressing.
• Maintaining a clean, orderly living area and skin care; preventing skin breakdown.
• Taking temperatures, pulse, respiration, blood pressure when ordered with skills.
• Assisting patients with self-administration of medications and reporting changes.

What Youll Do

• Providing hands on personal care including Baths Oral hygiene Shampoos changing bed linen assisting with dressing and undressing skin care and prevention of skin breakdown toileting assistance keeping living area clean and orderly as needed and other duties within their scope of practice assigned by supervising clinician
• Taking and recording oral temporal and axillary temperatures pulse respiration pulse oximetry and blood pressure when ordered with appropriate completeddemonstrated skills competency
• Performing simple procedures as an extension of nursing services as ordered with appropriate completeddemonstrated skills competency
• Assisting patients in the self administration of medication
• Reporting on patients condition and significant changes to the assigned nurse or case manager

Qualifications

• Certified by the state as a nurse aid
• Meets the training requirements and successfully completes them
• At least 18 years of age
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification or another certification process as deemed appropriate by agency state and federal regulations
• Must have reliable transportation current drivers license and appropriate automobile insurance
