Community Healthcare of Texas in Waco, TX is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to provide compassionate personal hygiene care to hospice patients under their Plan of Care. The role may involve field or inpatient assignments depending on census.

You will deliver routine supplies, observe changes in patient condition and report to the Nurse/Care Manager, and you will participate in in-service training. HS or GED and CNA certification required.

Qualifications

• HS degree or GED is required.
• Certified Nurse Aide certification is required.
• Minimum 1 year of direct patient care experience.
• Must demonstrate competency before working independently with patients.

Responsabilités

• Provide personal hygiene care to patients as per Plan of Care (e.g., bathing, shampooing).
• Deliver routine medical supplies to patients as needed.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the Nurse/Care Manager.
• Maintain CHOT service standards and provide excellent customer service.
• Complete 12 hours of in-service training annually.
• Assist with patient transfers if needed.
• Provide compassionate companionship during service delivery.
• Assignments may be in the field or in inpatient units depending on census.

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides personal hygiene care to hospice patients following the patient's Plan of Care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provides personal hygiene care to patients according to the individual Plan of Care, such as bathing and shampooing.
• Deliver routine medical supplies as needed to patients.
• Observe and report any changes in the patient's condition to the Nurse/Care Manager.
• Demonstrate respect and understanding of the philosophy, mission, and service standards of CHOT, and provide excellent customer service.
• Successfully complete 12 hours of in-service training annually.
• May assist the patient with transfers as needed.
• Provide compassionate companionship to patients while delivering services.
• Depending on the census, assignments may include patients in the field or in inpatient units.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• HS Degree or GED required
• Proof of State Certification - Certified Nurse Aide required
• 1 year of direct patient care experience required
• Must demonstrate skills and written competency before working independently with the patient
