Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Certified Home Health or Personal Care Aide (training provided).
• Authorized to work lawfully in the United States.
• Pre-employment physical examination/PPD prior to patient contact.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation; valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Nurturing and compassionate by nature with the desire to care for others.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow care plans for clients and report on completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care needs (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide routine house cleaning, meal prep, and laundry.
• Transport client to doctor's visits, grocery store and errands.
• Assist client with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client’s condition.
• Maintain confidentiality due to access to sensitive information.
• Maintain regular attendance; flexible to department needs.
• Follow Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations.
• Abide by all regulations, policies, procedures and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties

• Follow specific care plans for clients and report on completed tasks.
