Job summary

The Greenspire School in Traverse City, MI is seeking a full-time Middle School Math Teacher who holds valid Michigan secondary teaching certification with an endorsement in mathematics. The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging instruction for grades 6-12, collaborate with colleagues to design project-based units, and support student growth across math disciplines.

Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, assessing student progress, maintaining a positive classroom

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification/license in Michigan for secondary education with an endorsement in the subject.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning and assessing educational activities.
• Strong knowledge of math curriculum and state standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive math lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
• Develop assessments and monitor student performance through tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and participate in ongoing professional development initiatives.
