Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, administer medications and medicated creams within the standards of practice as permitted by your certification and state regulations.
• Prepare and administer routine and PRN medications as prescribed by the physician and document each administration according to policy.
• Maintain medication supplies, clean, and restock medicine carts and the medication room.
• Notify the pharmacy of new medication orders and refills.
• Perform accurate vital sign monitoring as indicated by drug therapy.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state-approved medication aide training course.
• Completion of a state-approved certified nursing assistant (CNA) training program.
• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant with at least one year of CNA experience.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to ensure patient safety and respond effectively to medical and physical needs.

Salary Range

USD $23.00 - USD $26.00 per hour
