The Residence at Boyertown is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to safely assist residents with medication management, ensuring safety and compassionate care. You will collaborate with nursing and wellness teams to administer medications at the right time with dignity and respect.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, completion of a Medication Administration training program, and at least one year of direct care experience in a long-term care setting or similar healthcare

Job Summary: As a Certified Medication Technician, you will be responsible for safely and accurately assisting residents with their medication management, ensuring their safety and well-being while providing exceptional care and support. This position blends clinical responsibility with personal connection. You will work closely with nursing and wellness team members to ensure that each resident receives the right medication, at the right time, with the respect and dignity they deserve.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare, administer, and document medications according to physician orders and community protocols.
• Monitor residents for any side effects or adverse reactions to medications and preform vital signs checks.
• Maintain accurate records in the EHR system.
• Assist with medication inventory, ordering, and ensuring compliance with storage, counts, and handling regulations.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with residents, families, and staff while maintaining confidentiality.
• Collaborate with the Wellness Director, care team, and healthcare providers to support individualized resident care plans.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe medication area and promote a supportive wellness environment.
• Provide attentive, compassionate service that respects residents’ mobility, cognitive, and sensory needs.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and team members while upholding ethics and integrity.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of a Medication Administration training program
• One year experience providing direct care to seniors in a long term care setting, medication assistant experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
