Job summary

Vitality Living Columbia Community in Columbia, SC is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to support resident care and medication administration on-site. You will maintain accurate medication records, observe residents, and report changes to your supervisor while upholding policy and ensuring a clean, organized medicine supply room.

All qualified applicants must be 18+, be able to communicate effectively in English, and maintain any required certification and health requirements per state

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Maintain any certification as required by state regulations.
• Meet state health-related requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer or assist with medication as prescribed by the health care provider.
• Maintain residents' medication records daily per policy.
• Observe and document health and emotional changes; report to supervisor.
• Keep medicine supply room clean and organized.
• Accurately account for all medications, including controlled substances.
• Assist with medication cart audits.

As a Vitality Living Certified Medication Technician, you will impact lives by:

• Administer or assist with self-administration of medication and treatments as prescribed by the health care provider.
• Maintain residents' records daily promptly and following company policy and procedure.
• Observe and document the health and emotional condition of each resident, promptly reporting all changes to the supervisor.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the medicine supply room.
• Complete an accurate accounting of all medications, including controlled substances.
• Assist with the completion of medication cart audits.
