Job summary

StoneBridge Senior Living is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to assist in administering medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, under supervision of nursing leadership and the Director of Nursing Services.

The role emphasizes patient safety, accurate documentation, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary care team to support high-quality resident care across rehabilitation, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing services.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or its equivalent.
• Licensed medication tech having completed a state-approved training program and any necessary examination(s).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Follow facility policies and procedures governing medication administration to residents.
• Note and report errors in medication administration.
• Help develop and implement procedures to determine what medication errors occur, when, where, and why they happen, and how to prevent them.
• Complete administrative forms, charts, and reports as required.
• Ensure documentation of drug receipt errors includes a written report with observer signature.
• Accurately measure, record, and report residents' vital signs.
• Notify Charge Nurse or Director of Nursing Services of any medication errors or adverse reactions.
• Adhere to medication card practices and record orders in the resident's clinical record.
