Job summary

Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg, MO is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to join a dedicated team serving our Veterans. The role includes administering medications, documenting delivery, and coordinating with CNAs and charge personnel to ensure quality care.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication utilizing acceptable standards of practice.
• Document accuracy for medication delivery and evidence of follow-up observations for effect.
• Serve as liaison between charge personnel and Certified Nursing Assistants.
• Assist in the orientation of new team members.
• Provide Veteran care as needed according to standards of practice.
• Comply with Veteran’s individualized care plan and support the Veterans.
• Document information in the Veteran’s EMR accurately and timely.

Job description

Hourly Pay:

• $19.94 day shift
• $21.94 evening and night shift
• Additional weekend shift differential available

Examples of Work

• Administer medication utilizing acceptable standards of practice
• Document accuracy for medication delivery and evidence of follow-up observations for effect
• Serve as liaison between charge personnel and Certified Nursing Assistants
• Assist in the orientation of new team members
• Provide Veteran care as needed according to standards of practice
• Comply with Veteran’s individualized care plan and support the Veterans
• Document information in the Veteran’s electronic medical record (EMR), both accurately and timely

Qualifications

• Valid certification as certified medication technician in Missouri
• 1+ years of relevant experience
