Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking compassionate Medication Technicians (CMTs) for evening and overnight shifts at its Eastern Shore location. Provide quality medical care to stabilize clients and support treatment, assist with nursing duties, and coordinate with medical teams.

CPR certification required; MD licensure as a Medication Technician preferred; high school diploma or higher encouraged. Join a 100-bed residential program offering inpatient rehab services with supportive team,

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• High School diploma/ GED or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid licensure to serve as a Medication Technician in MD.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality, timely medical care to stabilize clients and enable them to engage fully in treatment.
• Assist with all nursing shift duties (vitals, drug screens, medication management, charting and reporting etc.).
• Collaborate with extended medical and clinical teams for seamless coordination of care.
• Manage, order and res-stock all medical supplies as necessary.
• Schedule medical appointments and arrange aftercare providers for post-discharge.
• Assist with all pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• CPR certification is required

• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Collaborative, multitasking, and time-management skills
• Knowledge of substance use and its bio-psychosocial consequences
