Job summary

Missouri Veterans Commission is hiring a Certified Medication Technician to care for veterans at the Missouri Veterans Home. You will administer medications, document deliveries, and coordinate with CNAs while supporting the care plans and veteran well-being.

Position is based in Missouri with shifts that may include days, evenings, and weekends. Join a dedicated team committed to honoring our veterans' health and dignity.

Qualifications

• Valid Missouri Certified Medication Technician certification.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication per standards of practice.
• Document accuracy for medication delivery and follow-up observations.
• Serve as liaison between charge personnel and CNAs.
• Assist in orientation of new team members.
• Provide Veteran care according to standards of practice.
• Comply with individualized care plans and support Veterans.
• Record information in the Veterans' EMR accurately and timely.

Hourly Pay

• $19.94 day shift
• $21.94 evening and night shift
• Additional weekend shift differential available

Examples of Work

• Administer medication utilizing acceptable standards of practice
• Document accuracy for medication delivery and evidence of follow-up observations for effect
• Serve as liaison between charge personnel and Certified Nursing Assistants
• Assist in the orientation of new team members
• Provide Veteran care as needed according to standards of practice
• Comply with Veteran’s individualized care plan and support the Veterans
• Document information in the Veteran’s electronic medical record (EMR), both accurately and timely

Qualifications

• Valid certification as certified medication technician in Missouri
• 1+ years of relevant experience
