Morningside House is hiring a Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to help residents receive medications safely and on time. You will follow orders, maintain records, and communicate with the nursing team.

At Morningside House, we work every day to provide safe, respectful, and caring support for our residents. We are looking for a dependable and compassionate Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to join our care team.
As a CMT, you will help residents receive their medications safely and on time. You will follow each resident’s medication orders, keep clear and accurate records, and report any concerns or changes to the nursing team. Paying attention to detail and following proper medication procedures are very important parts of this role.
You will also spend time helping and supporting residents throughout the day. When needed, you may assist with meals, dressing, grooming, bathroom needs, mobility, and other daily care. Our CMTs are an important part of making sure residents feel safe, comfortable, respected, and cared for.

Administers medications as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with any state and federal regulations and consistent with community policy.
Must demonstrate knowledge of “five rights” of medication administration.
Administers and records all medication given to residents’ based upon their specific chart.
May take and record vital signs of residents as assigned or as may be required by certain medications.
Med Tech CMA records the administration of medications and/or treatments appropriately, utilizing the computer system to enter and reference resident information as needed.
Observes and reports any reactions and/or side effects of medications to a licensed nurse immediately.
Administers PRN medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.
Ensure antiseptic techniques and good hand-washing practices for infection control, as well as utilizing universal precautions.
Med Tech CMA reports and when appropriate, records any changes observed in condition or behavior of residents and unusual incidents.
Submit incident/accident reports to supervisor or Administrator within twenty‑four (24) hours after their occurrence.
Communicates with medical staff, nursing service and other department supervisors.
Maintains a liaison with other department supervisors to adequately plan for resident activities.
Attends all required training, in-service and staff meetings
Assists care staff with meals, dressing, grooming, bathroom needs, mobility, and other daily care.
Maintain resident confidentiality, staff confidentiality; treat staff and residents with kindness, dignity and respect.
Comply with Resident’s Rights rules.
A High School Diploma or GED.
Certified Medication Aide certification required.Including full transcripts and up to date observations.
