Job summary

Westgate Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) for part-time shifts in Baltimore, MD. The role focuses on accurate medication administration and daily resident care under nursing supervision.

The CMA will administer oral/topical/ophthalmic/subcutaneous medications, document precisely, and collaborate with the care team to support resident well-being and health outcomes. Commitment to safety and quality care is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Medication Technician/Aide Certification in the state of employment.
• Must also be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA/HHA), as required.
• Previous CMA experience is required.
• Experience administering oral, topical, ophthalmic, and subcutaneous meds.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to follow clinical instructions.
• Ability to work with multiple residents in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications safely and accurately per orders and policies.
• Provide medications through oral, topical, optic, ophthalmic, and subcutaneous routes as allowed.
• Observe and document responses, report changes to nursing staff promptly.
• Assist with basic resident care under licensed nursing staff.
• Ensure medications are stored, secured, and accounted for per procedures.
• Maintain timely documentation of medication administration and related care.
• Collaborate with the care team to promote resident-centered outcomes.
