Job summary

Sanford Health is hiring a Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) for evening shifts in a 40-hour week. The role delivers resident-centered nursing care in a long-term care setting, applying daily living assistance, vital signs, and medication administration under the supervision of a charge nurse.

Eligible CNA certification is required, with CMA coursework as applicable by state. A sign-on bonus of $7,500 is offered, and benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA certification in the state of practice.
• CMA/Medication Aide course completion where CMA role exists.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with basic health care needs including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vitals, and psychosocial support.
• Assist with transferring, positioning, and mobility with proper techniques.
• Help with meals and dining, provide water and supplements as appropriate.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document outcomes of care, medications, behavior, and activity.
• Communicate changes in condition or care concerns to the charge nurse.
• Provide housekeeping and laundry services to keep living areas clean.
• Support wellness and recreational programs and encourage resident participation.
