Wallick Communities invites you to join The Ashford of Mt. Washington in Cincinnati, OH, as a Certified Medication Aide. This PRN role administers medications under a licensed nurse, documents administration, and supports resident independence with compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medication Aide certificate issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• First aid and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed and document administration.
• Promptly report resident needs for PRN meds to the nurse.
• Promptly report adverse reactions to medications to the nurse.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff, management and families.
• Provide physical resident care including personal hygiene and grooming.
• Answer call lights promptly and respond to residents' needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Care.

What You’ll Do

• Administer medications, as prescribed, and under the direction of a licensed nurse. Completes documentation of medication administration.
• Promptly report to the nurse, a resident’s request/need for PRN medications.
• Promptly report to the nurse any adverse or concerning reactions to medications.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff, management and families.
• Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures that falls under the scope of the Certified Medication Aide.
• Provides physical resident care to include all aspects of personal hygiene and grooming.
• Answers call lights in a timely manner and responds accordingly to the resident’s needs.
• Any other duties as assigned or delegated by the Director of Care.

What We’re Looking For

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Requires a Certified Medication Aide certificate from the Ohio Board of Nursing
• Completion of first aide training and CPR
