Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a healthcare professional to assist in administering medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician. The role operates on 12-hour shifts (7a-7p), with Sunday-Tuesday and every- other-Wednesday or Thursday-Saturday schedules.

The position focuses on safe medication administration, adherence to facility policies, and collaboration with nursing staff, physicians, and pharmacists to ensure quality resident care and compliance with healthcare standards.

Qualifications

• Follow facility policies governing medication administration.
• Note and report errors in medication administration.
• Participate in QA programs to improve medication processes.
• Maintain accurate forms, charts, and reports.
• Protect resident confidentiality and PHI.

Responsibilities

• Follow the policies and procedures governing medication administration to residents.
• Verify resident identity before administering medications and document vital signs as required.
• Accurately prepare, administer, and document medications as ordered by physicians.
• Report any medication errors or adverse reactions to the Nursing Director.
• Cooperate with nursing staff and pharmacists to ensure safe medication practices.
