Job summary

You will monitor residents for adverse reactions, document administrations meticulously, and uphold infection control practices.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Texas Medication Aide certification.
• Experience with medication administration procedures.
• Strong communication, patience, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Administer Medications: Dispense prescribed PO, topical, and rectal medications per orders and policy.
• Monitor and Report: Observe for adverse reactions or changes in resident status.
• Document Accurately: Record all medication administrations per policy.
• Ensure Safety: Maintain control of medication cart and a safe environment.
• Protect Privacy: Safeguard confidentiality of resident information.
• Adhere to Infection Control: Follow infection control procedures during medication administration.
• Report Errors: Immediately report any medication errors to the Charge Nurse.
