Job summary

131 DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS (Allen Gamble Correctional Center/Medical) is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to provide direct and indirect non-professional nursing care under supervision, including vital signs, ADL assistance, charting, and patient escorting.

This on-site, full-time role requires current CMA certification; Level I/II salary bands are listed and non-negotiable. Applicants must upload their CMA license. Remote work is not available.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of English for effective communication (oral and written).
• Ability to record observations and follow directions; maintain professional relationships.
• Basic nursing concepts and sanitation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and assist with activities of daily living.
• Chart observations and report changes in patient condition.
• Escort patients to and from destinations and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Order, receive and store supplies; perform basic clerical tasks.
• Participate in follow-up activities and outreach services.
