A leading healthcare provider in Texas seeks a Medication Aide to perform technical duties in patient care. The role involves assisting with personal hygiene, documenting vital signs, and ensuring medication compliance within a correctional facility. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and a Texas Certified Medication Aide permit. This position is non-benefit eligible and limited to 19 hours per week.
The mission of Correctional Managed Care is to address the healthcare needs of underserved patient populations within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and the Texas Juvenile Justice Department.
Performs technical duties in the field of patient care and participates in the general health care of patients by providing assistance with cleanliness, grooming, rest, activity, nourishment, and distribution of medications. Assists the professional staff in maintaining a safe therapeutic environment.
Standard patient care supplies, equipment, and mechanical devices.
Located within a prison, jail, or juvenile detention center. Security clearance and pre-employment drug testing are required.
This is a non-benefit eligible, hourly position limited to a maximum of 19 hours per week.
