Qualifications

• Active CMA certification required.
• Current CNA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, and document medications as ordered by the physician.
• Verify resident identity prior to medication administration.
• Observe residents to ensure medications are taken as directed.
• Accurately document medication administration and any refusals or concerns.
• Monitor medication supplies and report needs to nursing leadership.
• Maintain narcotic counts and report discrepancies immediately.
• Report medication errors or adverse reactions promptly.
• Follow facility policies, procedures, and state regulations.
• Assist with CNA duties as needed and within scope.
