Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions in Minot, ND is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to administer routine medications in a long-term care setting under nursing supervision. You will observe residents for therapeutic effects and adverse reactions, and report findings to the charge nurse while maintaining accurate medication administration records.

This role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, CMA certification in the state of practice, CNA and BLS certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer routine oral, topical and other non-injectable medications per physician orders.
• Verify medication, dose, route, time and resident identity prior to each administration.
• Observe residents for therapeutic response and adverse reactions and report to the charge nurse.
• Document medication administration accurately in the medication administration record.
• Assist with medication cart management, ordering and storage in accordance with policy.
• Provide direct resident care and support activities of daily living as assigned.

Education

Long-term care or skilled nursing experience (preferred)
