A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Certified Medication Aide Lead to oversee CNA activities and medication administration. This role is crucial in ensuring quality care and a safe environment for residents. Candidates should have a high school diploma, certified medication aide training, and preferably some experience in a nursing or aide role.
The Certified Medication Aide Lead works closely with the Director of Nursing to monitor CNA activities and resident care. Provides quality care by performing tasks associated with medication administration, including patient vital signs, calculation of medication dosages, and stocking of the medication cart. Assists with providing a safe, comforting, and calm environment for the resident which includes observation and reporting of resident needs.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduate or GED
Completion of a certified medication aide training course
One year nurse assisting or med aide experience preferred
Required Registration/License/Certification
Certified Medication Aide (CMA)
Basic Life Support certification from either American Red Cross CPR/AED for Health Care Provider or Basic Life Support (American Heart Association-Health Care Provider) successfully obtained within the first 90 days of employment)
