Holders of a Texas Medication Aide certification with strong attention to detail and clear communication are encouraged to apply. You will protect resident privacy and follow infection control procedures daily.

Qualifications

• Holds a current Texas Medication Aide certification.
• Has experience and competence in medication administration procedures.
• Communicates clearly and demonstrates patience, discipline, and professionalism.
• Pays close attention to detail and ensures accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer Medications: PO, topical, and rectal as ordered.
• Monitor and report adverse reactions or changes in resident status.
• Document all medication administration per policy.
• Maintain control of the medication cart and ensure a safe environment.
• Protect resident privacy and confidentiality.
• Adhere to infection control procedures during medication administration.
• Report errors to the Charge Nurse immediately.
