Job summary

Entertimeonline is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to provide high-quality physical and emotional care for residents across our assisted living and independent living communities in Georgia. You will assist with daily activities, monitor changes in residents, and ensure safe, compassionate support in a clean environment.

The role requires GA CMA and CNA credentials, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to interact with elderly and sometimes challenging residents.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Georgia CMA certification and CNA credential.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to interact with elderly residents with compassion and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities in Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Personal Care facilities.
• Prepare written shift reports and recommendations as needed.
• Assist with admitting, transferring, and discharging residents as required.
• Assist with medication administration and maintain proper documentation per policy.
• Complete and file necessary record-keeping forms for admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Review treatment sheets daily and report changes to the Resident Care Supervisor/Administrator.
• Chart resident activities legibly and consistently according to policies and procedures.

TITLE: Certified Medication Aide

REPORTS TO: Resident Care Supervisor/Administrator

Non-Exempt

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The primary purpose of the position is to always provide physical and emotional care to our residents in a clean, friendly, and safe environment in our Assisting Living, Independent Living, and Personal Care Facilities.

ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Aid with the day-to-day functions of the Residents in accordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines that govern the Assisting Living, Independent Living, and Personal Care Facilities.
• Make written reports/recommendations concerning the activities of your shift as required.
• Assist with Admitting, transferring, and discharging residents as required.
• Assist with medication administration and documentation per facility policy.
• Complete and file required record keeping forms/charts upon the resident’s admission, transfer, and/or discharge.
• Review treatment sheets daily and report any changes to the Resident Care Supervisor/Administrator.
• Legibly and routinely chart all resident activities as required and in accordance with established charting and documentation, policies, and procedures.

KEY CHARACTERISTICS:

• Must be able to function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.
• Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, hostile people within the facility.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a Certified Medication Aide and Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia.
• Must have a High School Diploma or its equivalent.
